I had fun taking this quiz and trying to get a good score. My first attempt scored 577 and attached is my best attempt after around 6 plays.I initially was going to try playing this in the itch.io desktop app as a local file but it seems to have some sort of error messaging saying "The following features required to run Godot Projects on the Web are missing: Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)" so I wanna guess it needs some sort of live internet connection? Not 100% sure about this as I ended up playing it on Chrome.

On another note, regarding the gameplay, I kinda felt that the fade in for the song previews could be a smidge faster while the fade outs kind of dragged on a bit longer than I expected. Not sure if that fadeout time is actually the time for it to load the next song.
I do like clicking on the respective talent to answer the cover but at times I kinda played myself hovering past the correct talent when going side to side to answer. A hotkey function from what another comment mentioned also seemed like a good idea for speedier answers.
The current song playlist consisting of covers is not bad since it's a decent challenge with how many talents sing the same songs but I was wondering if implementing originals would take time a lot more time compared to covers or not? Because if it's related to sourcing a YT link and getting a thumbnail then the talents and hololive IDOL project have their respective YT Music Topic Channels and it's not that difficult to extract the art from their Singles, EPs & Albums. I think adding originals would give the playlist more variety on top of the covers or even have separate modes based on covers or originals; a sole talent, generational group, concert playlist or all random. Otherwise if you plan to just do covers then that's totally understandable.

I personally just had my own concept of a hololive music quiz brainstorm a couple days back and remembered playing your hololive cover quiz a while back and been meaning to check out what system was used for this.

Best of luck with future updates!

Impressive! Glad you enjoyed the game.

still choppy, tho if i don't look at the game, like, if i go down to the comments, it fixes

idk, it might be the background of the game, no idea

Hmm, what browser are you running the game on?

chrome

Hmm, this sounds like a specific issue. I can't seem to find support on this in the Godot forums. I'll see what I can do, maybe providing a download exe file will work...?

hm, yeah, perhaps.. tho it still works on phone, that's something

Fun game, I like the idea (although I'd love for this to have more tracks).

Going to point out a couple of issues I've ran into:

- Average and Fastest / Slowest guess time don't reset whenever a new game is started

- Fastest / Slowest guess time don't account for the fact that you guessed wrong. It is possible to get a fastest time of 00.00 seconds if you just click on the first frame, even if you guess wrong it'll still count

- Some images like Botan with her sleeve or Miko overlap, covering other members (potentially hiding them from view on a quick glance)

- The RNG is biased and picks some members more often than others. The list of songs has 4 covers by Flare and 1 by Miko. I'm assuming the RNG implementation picks an index out of all song covers, which would explain it

- It isn't always obvious whether clicking on a certain spot will register a click, because the hitboxes don't cover the full image width. For example, Ollie's hair bun on the right side isn't clickable the whole way through.

- Picking the characters via a keyboard would be nice. Adding a visual label above/below characters and adding hotkeys to them would reduce time to guess significantly

Hey, thanks for trying the game out, and thanks for the feedback!
I'll work on improving the UI and see how to make it more intuitive.

Just for point of clarification: At the current release, the picks do randomize through the entire selection of songs it has - I'm working on a "focused random" where it shouldn't pick too many of the same songs in each session (for example: out of 10 songs, you shouldn't get more than 3 IDOL covers).

As for accounting for the timers, I'm working on a fix where it should use your current session's fastest and slowest time, instead of the past times, and guesses that are wrong shouldn't be counted into your average times.

On selecting what song covers to add to the library, I do have a few criteria:
- Has the song been covered and uploaded on the talent's own channel?
- Is the song sung solo?

Overall, thanks for the feedback! I work on this project during my free time while learning a new game engine.

I appreciate you taking your time to read and consider the feedback.

Glad to see you're trying things out and thinking of improvements that could be made to polish the game further.

Hope Godot treats you well!

The only thing that I would like to see from this game is a full screen mode, or maybe a different resolution for browser. I am playing this game with Google Chrome and when you are in the game's end screen, you can hover over the individual songs to see your times for each song. The game is small enough that the window that appears to show your score is cut off by the bottom frame of the game, so, for some of the songs that are closer to the bottom, you can not see your results.

Other than that, I have no complaints for this game. It is a fun, straight to the point game that challenges you to see how big of a Hololive fan you are.

Really nice work!

I started strong but then things went downhill lol
