On hiatus due to moving


Hello everyone,

I've announced this on my twitter, but I'm on a hiatus right now because I'm moving. There's lots of packing to do so everything is everywhere. For those who are wondering if I'm going to continue developing the game, yes and no. Yes, I will continue to develop Hololive Isekai as a turn-based RPG featuring Hololive members. No, because due to scoping issues, I cannot continue to develop in a direction that I want (mainly because I am pretty busy with irl work), but Hololive Isekai will be a slightly stripped down version of my vision, but features such as party-building, unique character gameplay, turn-based combat, etc. will remain. I'm cutting down on the story portion of it, because I find myself really just fretting too much about what I want to write, and at the same time, trying to respect the personas and characters that each of the streamers have built up over their careers.

Game development is a long process and things change, really fast. To give an example, when I first developed Subaru's character in Hololive Isekai, Subaru was a ball of sunshine with a duck as a meme, and she plays Sausage Legend on occasion. Now, she is a policewoman, looking for a new mom, has a wrestling move, and English-jouzu.

TL;DR: I'm on hiatus now, because I'm moving. I will continue to develop Hololive Isekai, in a scaled down version. I've uploaded v0.3 Hololive Isekai PTB version, feel free to try out the new and improved UI and game mechanics.

I see... well, I tried it out, and I feel like there could be a load more animations, coupled with a few bugs that occurred in the game that I was playing several times.


Like, say for instance the skills sometimes bugging out that it progresses to nowhere, or glitched out? Maybe different animations if the Talents reach a certain percentage of health? I'm just drawing too many ideas for you since it seems to be the last message you made around two years ago. Also, I'm wondering about a possible skill tree for the game, just throwing out ideas or suggestions to you Drweam, if you're still there...
